Proposed Revised Remote Learning Plan
*The following revised plan will be presented to the Huntington Local Board of Education on Monday, October 12th for approval.
Huntington Local School District believes in the importance of education. We are dedicated to sustaining a learning environment that is nurturing, safe and healthy for our students and staff. Over the last 6 weeks, our administration and staff have examined and reflected upon the demand, expectations and requirements of our original plan. In response to the feedback received, our teachers and the administration have developed a plan that reallocates Remote Learning Days scheduled for May 2021 to the first semester (10/9, 10/16, 10/30, 11/6, 11/20, 12/4, 12/11). This will allow for more time to service the online students, plan for instruction and develop the in-person and online curriculum. On remote learning days the students are expected to work on assignments from home.
As part of the revised plan, meal services will be provided to students living within our district on Remote Learning Days. Meals will be delivered by bus following the schedule below:
10:45 - 11:15: Buses 19/I, 7/B, 16/E, 17/H, 1/C
11:15 - 11:45: Buses 5/G, 22/A, 12/F, 9/J, 13/D, 8/K
Parents or students should be at your pickup location during the designated times in order to receive the meals. Please verify your child’s bus number. If you have any questions please call the building office.
