Last week we celebrated the end of an era with the retirement of Diane Harrington from Huntington Local Schools. Diane, a 1974 graduate of Huntington, has worked for the district for 31 years. She began her career in 1990 as a classroom aide in a grant-funded program called TARGET - Teaching and Reaching Goals Effectively Together. A few years later Diane transitioned to the position of Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent. Diane has worked for 6 different superintendents, each one beyond thankful for her amazing work ethic, professionalism and attention to detail.
Her sons, Phillip and Adam said it best with the words they used to describe their mother - “loving, diligent, energetic, considerate, Godly.” We wish Diane the best as she spends her retirement traveling with her husband, Stan, and playing with her grandchildren. We will miss Diane greatly at Huntington Local Schools!
