1. Testing…Testing…. The Middle School students will begin the ELA Air Testing next week. The schedule will be as follows:
Monday (April 16th) 5th grade Part 1
Tuesday (April 17th) 5th grade Part 2
Wednesday (April 18th) 6th grade Part 1
Thursday (April 19th) 6th grade Part 2
Friday (April 20th) 7th grade Parts 1 – 2

2. Attention Parents and Students: Please note a change to this year’s school calendar: There will be no school Monday, May 7th for students (Teacher’s professional development day). This will also change the last day for students to Thursday, May 24th. School will be dismissed at 11:30 for High School and Middle School students that day.
3. Congratulations to the track teams who competed in the SVC Previews last night. The girls 4x100 relay team took 7th place and Allison Basye won 1st place in the 100 m. hurdles, 200 m. hurdles and the long jump. In the boys division, the 4x100 relay team of Dalton Haubeil, Seth McCloskey, Gregory Richards and Jarod Bellar took 1st place. The 4x400 Relay team of Gregory Richards, Seth McCloskey, Brian Hertenstein and Jarod Bellar finished 1st and the 4x200 Relay team of Alan Smith, Brayden Clay, Wesley Brown and Matthew Baker finished 5th. Jarod Bellar won the 800m Run. Gregory Richards took 2nd place in the Long Jump. Wes Brown came in 4th in the 1600 m. Run. Seth McCloskey took 5th place in the 200 m Dash and Dalton Haubeil was 5th in the 100 m. dash. 7th place goes to Brian Hertenstein in the 400 m. Dash and Alan Smith finished 7th in the 110 m. Hurdles and 3rd in the Pole Vault.
4. Kids in College is a summer enrichment program for students finishing grades K-8. This will be a summer program for kids who are interested in science, history, theater, crafts, archeology, video, tumbling, pottery, dance, cooking, sewing, genealogy, Minecraft/coding, archery, starting your own business, literature, crime lab and other fun educational areas. Fliers are in the office with cost and details of locations. Registration deadline is May 29.
5. Notice from the cafeteria: If you are not eating breakfast, please do not come to the cafeteria in the mornings.
6. We have discount tickets for King’s Island in the office. Stop by and pick up some today!
7. The Archery T-shirt order forms are available in the office.
8. The 2018 yearbooks can be ordered now. Order forms will be in each office or you can follow the link of the yearbook page on the school website.
9. Students: PLEASE NOTE: Hallways and classrooms are now “no spray zones”. Do NOT use perfumes, colognes, body sprays, hair sprays, deodorants or any other aerosol products in these areas.
10. We remind students that even though you are acting out of courtesy, please do NOT open school entrance doors to anyone. They must be “buzzed” in by school personnel.
11. The final dance for this school year has been scheduled for May 5th from 6:00-8:00. This is for 7th and 8th grade students only. The dance will be held in the Cafeteria. The dance will be Semi-Formal. The theme is “Starry Night”. Cost is $5.00. You may purchase your pre-sale tickets for the dance from Mrs. Reed (room # 241) before 1st period and during lunch. Doors will open at 5:00 for pictures. Picture order forms in the office.
