
Huntington Local Schools will be following the most recent CDC Guidelines regarding COVID positive cases and close contacts. The attached chart outlines the details. At this time all students, staff and visitors are required to wear face coverings during school hours and on school transportation. Students need to bring their own water bottles each day to refill as needed in the bottle filler stations.

*Important Update
The school district received word of threats made to a couple students in our middle school. We immediately contacted the Sheriffs office and all students are safe in their classrooms. The student has been removed from the school at this time and there are no current threats. Parents of those students involved have been contacted.

The Write in Red Essay Contest is sponsored by the ADAMH Board and students write an essay on the topic of the negative effects of drugs and alcohol and the importance of living a drug free life. Hannah Balusik won the contest (school-wide) and was awarded $100. Her essay was also selected as the winner countywide, which resulted in a $500 scholarship for Hannah!! Congratulations to Hannah Balusik!


On Monday December 13th the Huntington Local Schools Athletic Department will be making a special presentation to the family of the late Kermit Vickers between the 7th and 8th grade boys basketball games at approximately 6pm. We encourage all to attend for this special moment.
